Deux

Inspired by the work of Ulrike Bolenz, I wanted to explore the heavily layered and textured technique her style brings. The relationship between the two portraits amongst the abstract use of mix-media within the background is dramatic and creates a suspenseful atmosphere. Having been influenced by Bolenz, I was able to approach something as traditional as a portrait with dynamic and exciting style I would otherwise not explored.
