Yerma

Yerma is an experiment solely inspired by the work of Iryna Yermolova. I aimed to recreate her free expression in painterly elements which harshly contrast bold marks created by the use of a palette knife.

These abstract elements in combination with a defined colour palette was exciting to explore in my interpretation in trying to achieve a confident atmosphere and female energy, in which Yermolova is well known for.
