Influenced by the work of Mark Tennant, I aimed to recreate the moody and dynamic atmosphere this artist creates in his work with his bold use of colour and sharply placed brush marks in this piece. The overlap of deep reds and greys with calm neutral tones produces a striking energy and an exciting conflicting atmosphere.
