Mars

This piece, ‘Mars’, is influenced by my perception and curiosity of the planet Mars. I incorporated this perception of Mars with a strong female character alongside my own expression of frustration I was experiencing during this time I spent dedicated on this piece through my use of rich orange and red shades. The emotional anger is portrayed through more controlled brush strokes highlighting heated passion I wish to convey.

This incooporation on what I imagine the heat and environment of the planet Mars alongside artist inspiration of Iryna Yermolova and her employment of saturated colours when portraying females in her paintings.
