Having focused on contemporary figurative art, focusing on abstraction in the majority of work. In this piece, I wished to challenge my natural approach to my work and produce a traditional and naturalistic figurative piece.

The use of oil paints to create this natural flow of the figure, whilst still maintaining the organic saturated colours fulfils my intention of capturing the human flesh in a realistic manner.
